I'm gonna chalk this up to a no. They'll go best CB in rounds 1 or 2. Need some youth coming up in that position.

It's Official: Bengals Release Cornerback Trae Waynes, Sign Trenton Irwin

CINCINNATI — The Bengals officially released Trae Waynes on Monday afternoon.

The veteran appeared in just five regular season games in two seasons with the Bengals. Cincinnati saves $10.8 million in cap space with the move.

They also signed wide receiver Trenton Irwin to a one-year contract for the 2022 season.

Irwin had two receptions for 34 yards last season. The 26-year-old appeared in seven games in 2021.

The money saved by cutting Waynes is almost directly offset by adding Collins.

There may be another move or two, but they will be bargain bin type acquisitions toward the end of free agency.
