1. You can’t rely on getting a Day 1 starting OL at the end of Round 1

2. Jackson Carman will have an opportunity to compete for a starting job in 2022

Carmen should get an opportunity. That doesn't mean they should rely on him by any means. There should be new blood and open competition, but the second year maturation is a real thing, and it's a net plus if Carmen experiences that.

I don't think this is a big surprise, but since we talked about him earlier, Kansas City is franchise tagging OT Orlando Brown Jr. per Adam Schefter.

I don't think any of these other names (other than Bates obviously) are of any interest, but he goes on to say..

ESPN’s Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler pointed out that Tampa Bay is desperate to keep Jensen:

“…the Bucs will try hard to get something done with Jensen. They feel he’s among the best centers in the league, maybe the best, when in their system. If that costs $15 million per year—which it very well might—then that might be worth it.”

With Bates now the highest paid player on the team at $13mm for 2022, I can't see SoP biting off $15mm for a center. Unless the staff truly feels Hopkins is the weakest link, I think Hopkins stays and they make one strong run at LT and focus on Guards after that. I'm not sure anyone here thinks Hopkins is the weakest link knowing he was coming back from injury the entire season.

Agree stripes. Unless Hopkins restructures and moves to Guard it’s not happening.

I’d give Hopkins another year to continue to rehab the knee this off-season, draft a 2-3 round guy to backfill next year and then spend that 15M on a top guard
