Draft Talk - Cuz it's never too early...
This could impact our selection no matter where we end up drafting...

Jets are expected to make a big trade this off-season. Whole question is whether they trade QB Sam Darnold or the No. 2 pick to a team that intends to draft a QB. But GM Joe Douglas will be executing some sort of big trade, amongst their many moves.

Curious to see how this off season goes with the Bengals. Does Mikey spend more money or what?
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

As much as I criticize them even I'd be shocked if they don't address the O-line this coming off-season...Joe Bananas wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 3:04 pmCurious to see how this off season goes with the Bengals. Does Mikey spend more money or what?

Me too. But you know it wasn't all that long ago Mikey lived and died by the, "we'll rebuild thru the draft, cause teams who spend money on free agents aren't better teams than us"Bengals1 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 3:25 pmAs much as I criticize them even I'd be shocked if they don't address the O-line this coming off-season...Joe Bananas wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 3:04 pmCurious to see how this off season goes with the Bengals. I know, but if he spent last year logically he'll spend this year.Joe Bananas wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 3:32 pmMe too. But you know it wasn't all that long ago Mikey lived and died by the, "we'll rebuild thru the draft, cause teams who spend money on free agents aren't better teams than us"
I mean, they really only need two more starters on the O-line and with all the big-ticket player departures we're expecting they'll have the money.
But yeah....it's always a crap shoot with this team...

Jags - Trevor Lawrence
Jets- Justin Fields
Dolphins- Sewell
Falcons- who cares
Bengals -?
I honestly think it comes down to LB Parsons, or WRs Chase and D Smith.

A lot depends on what they do or don't do, in Free Agency.
If the reports are correct and they address the O-line in FA then I'm pretty OK with taking a WR or DE etc... with our first pick.
But ONLY if the O-line is addressed first!!

If we go by recent history there's no reason to doubt that they will be going after O-linemen pretty hard this off-season. However I think they will be the FA's that fit into the budget, not necessarily the top tier. Not exactly what we'd all like but you take what you can get with this franchise.
