While you guys are watching the National Championship game pay attention to RG 52 Davis on OSU he's one of the best in the country.

New 2-round mock draft from The Athletic, just including the picks around us (seems like fair use, right?):

1. Trevor Lawrence (QB) to the Jags
2. Zach Wilson (QB) to the Jets (though they also note that Sewell could be the pick if they stick with Darnold, or they could trade back)
3. DeVonta Smith (WR) to the Dolphins
4. Justin Fields (QB) to the Falcons
5. Penei Sewell (OT) to us
6. Ja'Marr Chase (WR) to the Eagles
7. Micah Parsons (LB) to Detroit
8. Trey Lance (QB) to Carolina
9. Caleb Farley (CB) to Denver
10. Rashawn Slater (OT) to Dallas
11. Kyle Pitts (TE) to NYG
12. Patrick Surtain II (CB) to the 49ers
13. Christian Darrisaw (OT) to the Chargers
14. Gregory Rousseau (DE) to Minnesota
15. Jaylen Waddle (WR) to New England

Second Round
33. Wyatt Davis (OG) to Jags
34. Liam Eichenberg (OT) to Jets
35. Jayson Oweh (DE) to Atlanta
36. Travis Etienne (RB) to Miami
37. Nick Bolton (LB) to Philly
38. Asante Samuel (CB) to Cincinnati
39. Samuel Cosmi (OT) to Carolina
40. Jordan Smith (DE) to Denver
41. Rashod Bateman (WR) to Minny
42. Carlos Basham (DE) to NYG
43. Joe Tryon (DE) to 49ers

I'd be pretty happy with those two.

I'm coming around more and more to the belief that they don't want to wait and see who's left at #5 and will take care of the O-line in Free Agency.

If I'm correct, that means BPA at #5 or a trade back for more picks.

I don't see how anybody could complain if the draft works out this way.

Even if they address the O-Line in free agency, the chances of them grabbing two OL-Men better than Sewell is slim to none.

The more I read, the more I think the Jets may jump on him though. I just don't see Sewell getting by Miami at number 3 if they don't, but I won't complain if he ends up at 5.

I tend to agree with this, I don't think they can afford to wait and see who falls. I think they need to fill holes and then whoever drops, or whoever we trade down for is just icing on the cake.

If they don’t address OL in FA we are essentially screwed.

Devonta smith is a once in a generation talent. I really hope we draft him, so we can ruin his NFL career as payback for what he did to the bucks 😂😂😂

If we draft him, he will never recover from his finger injury. Or he'll reinjure it in training camp, get a staph infection, and never fully recover.

If by chance they do sign two or so new starters for the O-line in Free Agency I don't see any way SoP allows Zac to tap Penile even if he falls to us.

No way they spend the #5 pick on what would essentially be a backup to start the season.

The lure of taking Smith as essentially a replacement for AJ will be too great.

Mark my words....

I think they draft Sewell of he's there. No way you don't. But if he's not I'm not complaining if they pick Smith. Dudes legit and can flat ball.
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.
