The Bengals stifled the Ravens offense with “something completely different”

CIN quietly put together one of the best defensive game plans for the Ravens run option attack, holding them to 20 points. Harbaugh said they weren’t prepared for it.

Unless our defense has JC himself playing on it I don't think there's much help....

One thing I noticed from that article was that we were giving Baltimore looks that we hadn't shown against other teams, designed to counter what Baltimore consistently does well. And kudos to our guys, especially young linebackers, who were able to do things that they probably hadn't practiced as much in practice as what you might call our bread-and-butter defense. But. If we run the same game plan against them next time, they will absolutely have more plays prepared to counter it. That's part of the chess match that is football between teams that play each other frequently, and it remains to be seen whether we're one-trick cats against Baltimore or whether we can do it again--ideally with some answers in our offensive scheme to actually make it a competitive game.

one thing for sure tho..... that fact they "hadn't seen it before" gives me alot of confidence in what theyre doing on the defensive side of the ball.

In all honesty if our Defense is top 10, this just shows how bad defenses are in the NFL right now
