Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate)
Just announced: The NFL informed teams today that the 2022 salary cap will be $208.2M. That's up $25.7M from last year. Back on track after the salary cap dropped due to COVID in 2021. Let's go.💰💰

Per Adam Schefter,

Falcons Wide Receiver Calvin Ridley has been suspended for the 2022 season for betting on games last year.
Jeezus. I mean really.....how stupid do you have to be...?

I never bet on my own team to lose (Pete Rose)
When Pete did it everything was telephone calls and paper betting sheets. I'm sure he thought he'd never get caught.

Today everything's recorded electronically. You can't sneeze nowadays without it being caught on camera and posted on YouTube or social media.

How did he ever think he'd get away with it....?

Roger's just agreed to 4 years 200M with 153M guarenteed.

Wait till Burrows deal is done. He'll be playing with me, cruiser, meat and B1 as his best players.

All this does is hurt the overall team. Sorry.

It's a surprisingly cap friendly deal. I haven't seen official numbers but it's being reported that his Cap hit actually goes down from about 47 mil to about 25 mil.

The average Cap hit per team for QB in 2022 before the new Rodgers deal was about 22 mil.

FYI - Top QB Cap hits in 2022 as of now without Aaron Rodgers

Matt Ryan - 48.6 mil
Kirk Cousins - 45 mil
Deshaun Watson - 40.4 mil
Ryan Tannehill - 38.6 mil
Russell Wilson - 37.0 mil

ESPN is reporting that the Broncos and Seahawks have agreed to a deal to send Russel Wilson to Denver pending his approval.

Yep..... :o

Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero)
Blockbuster: The #Seahawks and #Broncos have agreed in principle on a trade sending nine-time Pro Bowl QB Russell Wilson to Denver for a massive haul, including multiple first-round draft picks, plus additional picks and players, per sources.

Colin Cowherd is reporting its 2 firsts, 2 seconds and 3 players including QB Drew Locke.
