Money aside, how much better would our QB room be with Trey Lance behind Burrow? No way he sits behind Darnold as the #3 in SF. And he is certainly better than Browning. Could he be our backup?

I would think as a former 1st round pick and the #3 overall selection ta' boot....

A. He will not want to sit behind an established QB like Burrow. Most likely he'll want to go where he feels he has a decent chance to start. And....

B. His agent will demand a lot of money. He's not likely to accept a dramatic pay cut this early into his career given what I stated above.

I think our best bet is Brandon Allen gets cut and agrees to resign here. That would seem to solve everything.

According to Ian Rapoport the Cowboys are getting him for a 4th round pick next year.

No disrespect to Dobbins, but the RB room is deep in Baltimore. They may not miss a beat at that position.
