Expectations for 2020 Season
Expectations for 2020 Season
What are you expectations for the upcoming season after the draft?
Re: Expectations for 2020 Season
I'm gonna go below .500 based on the loss of Andy and a rookie starting QB. I think we have talent but still need a year or two to build the chemistry.
Re: Expectations for 2020 Season
I'm taking the over. Our team was not as terrible last year as a 2-14 record would suggest, and I think we took huge steps forward in FA and the draft. Burrow will have some growing pains, but I think a much-improved defense, an o-line that got better as the season went on, a better receiving corp with AJ healthy, and a very good running back should help get him through those growing pains sooner rather than later.

I can't make it through life right now assuming everything I enjoy is going to be cancelled. I'm staying optimistic that there will be football this year even if it is delayed or played with no fans. If it gets cancelled I will deal with it then, but I have to be hopeful for now. I think mass testing will be available by September and there will be logistical solutions in place by then. It's not just football, but baseball, basketball, hockey, and every other sport in the world wants to find a solution. It will be interesting to see how things go with the Korean Baseball League starting play on May 5th.
My feeling is we should never expect less than .500. Less than .500 is a failure. This team spent a lot of money, brought in a franchise QB and had a seemingly solid draft. If we get to .500 I will consider it a success over last year. Anything over .500 is gravy.
I'm not going to be calling for people to be fired if they finish 6-10 and show growth, but that doesn't mean I will call the season a success.

The country is slowly reopening. MLB and the NBA are already exploring various ways to hold their seasons.
By summer this quarantine will be either largely or completely behind us.
Their will be football next Fall....you heard it here first.
