Paul Dehner said the Bengals like to play the "Let it play out" game before making a call like that but he thinks he will be released before the team meets for off season workouts.

Having said, that I'll believe it when I see it. It will say a little bit about the new direction of the team.

It's good to see that The U is still turning out quality kids.

Just another problem from the Marvin Lewis era to eliminate. Get it done. Clean house. Start fresh and kick some ass.

The Bengals announced today that they have waived Mark Walton.

It's a little thing but coupled with the release of Burfict, it's steps in the right direction.

“It’s important for our team to get off to a fresh start as we begin the 2019 season,” said Bengals coach Zac Taylor in a statement. “For that reason, we felt it best if we move forward without Mark Walton. We hope his situation gets resolved, but we don’t want to take anything away from the good work that so many other players have already begun to demonstrate.”

Fine, give our new head coach credit for doing what a good coach should do in this situation. One foot in front of the other and we just might win a playoff game.

I’m more about giving Mike Brown credit for doing the right thing. I’m giving him credit for actually listening to his new coach. And I’m giving him credit for doing what he doesn’t usually do and that’s believe that everybody can be saved and to give everybody second and third and fourth and fifth shots.

Maybe more of that was on Marvin Lewis then we know, but if there’s one thing we do know about Mike Brown he has always been a loyal guy to his people.
