Hey all:

First the bad news....

The site was hacked and infected with spyware. I was able to reinstall the board software, but it also corrupted the database itself, so as of now I have not been successful restoring the tables. That means archive posts are gone, and users will have to re-register. I've been hacking at it for two days, and haven't been able to successfully get them to import.

At this point, I'm considering the "fresh start" option. When I first set up this site, it was in the final days of Dick LeBeau, in response to Bengals message boards that were just littered with negativity.

Maybe now, with the Marvin era over, it's an OK time for another reboot.

Now the good news....

If you're up for a fresh start, and re-registering, I plan to keep the site going for the foreseeable future.

Hopefully the rest of the crew finds their way. I dont need the old posts anyway. Lets purge B1s negativity once and for all.

Got it. By default, it was set to have the moderator approve your first 3 posts before you get "promoted" to full member status. I'm going to change it to 1.

Cool. I think this will work out fine. Drop in the old subforums for off topic, baseball, etc. Wont take long to build up the threads again.
