Bengals waived WR Stanley Morgan.
Cincinnati will undoubtedly lock him into their practice squad, assuming he goes unclaimed. Morgan (6’0/202) graduated as the Cornhuskers’ all-time leader in catches (189) and receiving yards (2,747), but notched merely five catches on eight targets in two preseason appearances. Morgan’s clean routes and soft hands give him a chance to become a starting NFL slot receiver or flanker in the future.

Friday cuts: Taylor and the Bengals cut 11 players on Friday. Curtis Akins, Kirk Barron, Demetrious Cox, Dan Godsil, Tony Lippett, Dare Odeyingbo, Christian Ringo (injury settlement), Sterling Sheffield, Immanuel Turner, Christian Westerman and Tristan Vizcaino all received their walking papers.
Driskel to IR: Quarterback Jeff Driskel is headed to Injured Reserve, a source told The Enquirer. The Bengals later confirmed. Driskel is dealing with a hamstring injury.
Rookie quarterback Ryan Finley beat out Driskel for the team's backup QB position.
Rookie running back Rodney Anderson was also placed on IR. Anderson tore is right ACL in the team's final preseason game.
Jonah Williams on PUP: As expected, the Bengals placed Jonah Williams (shoulder) on the NFL's Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list. Cornerback Darqueze Dennard (knee) joined Williams on PUP.

Bengals have claimed two players off waivers.
WR - Pharoh Cooper who played for Zac in LA the last two years. He was waived by Arizona.
RB Samaje Perine - waived by the Redskins. He had 603 yards rushing in 2017 but only had 8 attempts in 2018. Joe Mixon was trying to get the Bengals to pick him up on Twitter immediately after he was waived. They were college teammates.
