If they aren't sure he'd be part of the future, may as well try to trade him.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 1:35 pmI would try and hold on to William Jackson III though.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 1:19 pmPaul Dehner Jr.

Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
Is there a real reason to think WJIII is on the way out? Other than bringing in so many new CB? I would suspect it's more of a "prove it" situation. New guys give us more options, but probably they don't all stick, and Jackson could still be the best guy in the room.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 1:19 pmPaul Dehner Jr.

There were rumors swirling late last year that he was not happy with the team and wanted out. Not sure how true that was.Exile wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 3:42 pmIs there a real reason to think WJIII is on the way out? Other than bringing in so many new CB? I think there were a lot of ppl not happy with the way the team handled things last year. However this year I would think that some attitudes may have changed with the way this teams spending money.Mag wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 3:47 pmThere were rumors swirling late last year that he was not happy with the team and wanted out. Also it could be like we see so often they don't value him as much as he values himself and will ask a higher price tag then soP is willing to give him.

I would think Jackson would be a priority to keep!
I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.

Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
We all thought the same of Joseph back in the day.
Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
To be fair, the Bengals did finally make Joseph an offer slightly higher than the one he eventually accepted with the Texans. In a press conference after he signed with them he basically said he was tired of the losing and wanted a fresh start somewhere else more than the money.
Jackson may very well feel the same way...
Re: Bengals Related News & Notes
Thanks for the clarification, B. I'm sure a lot of people weren't happy about a lot of things last year. New leadership comes in, feathers get ruffled; losing all the time, the best guys are always competitors who want to win and won't be happy with the team sucking. So this could be a "prove it" year in the the other direction with WJIII: if the team is winning this year, if the defensive staff and players come together--and, of course, if the money's good--he might be happier and inclined to stay.Bengals1 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 6:20 pmTo be fair, the Bengals did finally make Joseph an offer slightly higher than the one he eventually accepted with the Texans.
