ESPN

Personally reading about what's going on there and all their layoffs I'm not watching that sports network at all anymore.

Since moving and only get country TV not being wanting to pay for Cable TV anymore I just find myself even using less of the ESPN website. I can get the same info pretty much in many other places and I don't have to pay for ESPN Insider.

Is the Death of ESPN coming?

Discuss.

All I know is Mark May is gone. So, that is a good thing.

What I would like to see is some of these guys getting together with some investors and start a web based sports network. A lot of people are moving away from cable into streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Sling. One of my favorite apps on my Roku is Rueters. I get my daily dose of news anytime I want, but without the talking heads and BS. Having a sports network like that would be awesome.

no local channels. But i bought a 30 dollar antenna and put it on my roof, hooked it up to my cable-ready house and i have local channels in HD in all my rooms.

yes, you can DVR... it will save stuff for up to a month.
