So I guess you're okay with status of our team?

Beyond the Dalton/McCarron debate is the fact that Andy just signed a long term cap friendly deal.

Argue all you want over who's better but Andy's not going anywhere anytime soon folks.....

I think this year is a product of a few things. Our defensive rookies getting hurt really really hurt us big time, and the new system on offense and the start of the season with our TE's being hurt put us in a whole we were never able to dig out of. I'm also not pleased with our coaching changes specifically letting our REALLY REALLY GOOD DB's coach walk. He was really good and now here we are with whoever replaced him not nearly as good. I think next year will be much different honestly.

I'm looking at the 2017 Draft prospects and there isn't much coming out this year. After Kizer of Notre Dame and Watson of Clemson, it's a lot of guys who would be mid round picks in most years. Even the two guys above are not overly exciting. The best young quarterbacks available this off-season may be AJ and Garappolo. Older vets like Cutler, Tyrod Taylor, and Romo could be available. Nothing too exciting there either.

I'm starting to think AJ's stock is going to start rising really fast.

Luke Falk is now returning to Wash St. He would have been one of the top 5 QB's coming out. Oh well, maybe next year when we pick #1....

Trade him if you can get anything better than a 3rd rounder for him.

If you can't trade him for that value, hold on to him and enjoy decent backup quarterbacking, let him leave in free agency, and take the 3rd round comp pick!

Here's why I dislike AJM: My 8-year old son has bigger hands than him. Hell, my 6-year old daughter has bigger hands than him.

Okay based on results from the NFL draft combine. AJ McCarron has a hand size of 10 which rates on the large size. Andy Dalton's hand size measured at 9.5 which is rated medium.
I'm all for Trading Dalton and his no playoff wins in five career seasons to give AJ and his smaller hands a shot for at least one season.
