I thought it would be a good idea to talk about something positive with all the doom and gloom. It sure turned out to a great move for the Bengals to let Carl Lawson go and bring in Trey.

Both signed in 2021.
Trey Hendrickson signed a 4 year, $60,000,000 contract with the Cincinnati Bengals, including a $10,000,000 signing bonus, $16,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $15,000,000. (Since then 1 year for 21M was added to his contract)

Carl Lawson signed a 3 year, $45,000,000 contract with the New York Jets, including a $1,000,000 signing bonus, $30,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $15,000,000.

Trey 33.5 sacks and 75 tackles, Carl 7 sacks and 37 tackles since contract was signed.

Hendrickson is one of the bright spots left on this squad. He is still playing hard.

Because he's going to be up for a new contract.

He is under contract for 2 more years. Turn 29 tomorrow so by the time he is a FA he will older than what I would like to see the Bengals give somebody a big contract.

Thanks for correcting me, I did not know that.

He's been one of my top 3 favorites if not 1 since his first-year.

When looking at prior drafts came across a name I haven't thought of in a while so looked him up.

William Jackson signed a 3 year, $40,500,000 contract with the Washington Football Team, including a $15,000,000 signing bonus, $26,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $13,500,000.

Well since he signed that contract he has played a total of 16 games (none this season) with 2 Int and 55 tackles. Another player we hated to see leave but turns out the Bengals dodged another "cap hit" bullet.
