Alex Van Pelt leaving the QB coach job and headed to CLE as their OC. Yet another sign of impending change at our QB position. Alex and Andy were pretty tight.

Only Cle would promote a guy after the job performance he displayed the last two years. Just when you think the Bengals are the worse organization in the NFL the Browns find a way to one up them.

I liked Alex Van Pelt honestly, I'm not sure how well he will do as a coordinator but I certainly hope he sucks in Cle!

Interesting article that claims the Bengals like Herbert quite a lot after working with him at the Senior Bowl.

Would they actually consider a trade back with the Dolphins at #5 with an eye to taking Herbert there and picking up addt'l picks....?

Good news the Bengals will not view him as a solution to their OL problems. It does show the lack of good OL in the NFL that he keeps finding a job.

The Ravens signed tackle Andre Smith a few days before they took on the Titans in the playoffs and they’ll be keeping him on hand into the offseason.

The team announced on Thursday that they have signed Smith to a one-year deal. No financial terms were disclosed.

Smith was inactive for that loss to the Titans and played in six games for the Bengals earlier in the season. He started five of those games at left tackle.

Smith was a 2009 first-round pick in Cincinnati and has played 104 of his 116 games with the Bengals. He also had stints with the Vikings and Cardinals in between tours of duty in Cincinnati.
