2022 Preseason Week 3 - Rams

Post by stripesincarolina » Sat Aug 27, 2022 3:34 pm

Here's to hoping CPD shows up pre-game and arrests Aaron Donald for his assault with a weapon this week. I know this gets complicated, but at the end of the day, you cant ban Myles Garrett for 6 games and destroy his reputation and let Aaron Donald walk for something three times worse (3 swings) and potentially far more dangerous (some of our guys didnt have helmets on) when Donald was winding up.

Would love to see a W and some nice highlights tonight.

From PFT earlier in the week...

Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald will face no action from the NFL for his behavior during joint practices with the Bengals, but only because the NFL has no jurisdiction over joint practices.

PFT has confirmed the longstanding practice of clubs being responsible for overseeing conduct of players at practice, including joint practices.

This means that Donald will be suspended or otherwise punished only by the Rams. Which means that Donald won’t be suspended or otherwise punished.

Mike Petraglia @Trags
Dax Hill is indeed sitting this one out. Not dressed in warmups.

Charlie Goldsmith @CharlieG__
Just like before every other preseason game, a group of Bengals players who aren't playing tonight are doing some conditioning work on the field.

This time, Dax Hill is in that group. It's a sign that the standout rookie likely isn't playing tonight. Some more Bengals players in this group: Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Bates, Hendrickson and the rest of the veteran starters.

Also, LB Markus Bailey and TE Drew Sample are in the group. They've both been recovering from injuries. OT Isaiah Prince is in this group as well. He's working through a biceps injury.

T Anderson seemed to be in on almost every play there. I like him. Does need to finish the play tho.

I really dont know why folks are bashing Allen. Throw him in with the 1s and he would be very effective. He's had some great throws tonight.

And dare I say it, our WR 2s are better than many teams 1s. We have an amazing depth at WR right now.

Paul Dehner Jr. @pauldehnerjr
Jackass Cartman gives up an 8-yard sack one play after pulling and whiffing on a run play.

Not a great few reps

He is regressing faster than Oogie Boogie. I really wonder if they cut him. Cant imagine he's tradable at this point. But they simply cannot start him. No freaking way.

I wouldn't think they'd cut him unless they scour the waiver wire and sign someone more consistent. Depth along the O-line is pretty thin.

Well, we got thru the pre-season games without a serious injury and maybe found our starting Left Guard in Volson.

I can live with this.... 8-)

I can easily see him getting cut. Between the assault allegation and other off field things, his head isn't into football right now. If that happens, look to a veteran signing like Spain or Aboushi.
