Round 2 thoughts?
Re: Round 2 thoughts?
Move the small-school TE up to the 4th round despite a 7th round grade, bump everyone else down a round, and I think it's spot on.

That was meant more just to tweak Meat and Mags noses than an actual prediction.skycruiser wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 10:21 amcan't disagree with anything you say there B1.
i hope we go QB, WR, OL/LB.
and a draft day trade of Dalton for a 2nd or 3rd rounder would be swell!
However, sad to say it's probably not far off.
I hope they take a LB or O-lineman in the 2nd myself. And then switch it around and take whichever one the didn't get in the 2nd and take that position in the 3rd.
But it's the Bengals so who the hell really knows....?

Bengals1 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 3:26 pmHere are my draft predictions for the Bengals....
1. Joe Burrow
2. Some WR. The Bengals will eschew every O-Lineman and LB left on the board to take a WR. Their fear of not being able to sign AJ to a long term contract and the knowledge that he's injury prone even if he does sign, will propel them to grab a wide-out here despite this not being even remotely close to our greatest area of need. Likely not going to be an OL or LB worth drafting there over the best WR available. Queen and Murray are over valued. The best OTs will be gone, and no guards are worth the pick.
3. Some LB out of a well known program like Auburn, Alabama or Ohio State. He'll be like the 16th Linebacker taken and not worth the pick but Zac will be forced into tapping him due to the lack of bodies we currently have that even know where linebackers line-up on the field. He will not be resigned after his rookie contract. Best LB value will likely be in rd 3-4. Harrison, Gay, Brooks, Dye, and Davis-Gaither are as good of prospects as Queen and Murray
4. An O-lineman. He'll be like the 21st lineman taken and stick with the team as depth. He'll resign a moderate second contract after his rookie years mostly cuz' he's familiar with our system and has remained healthy for the first four years of his NFL career. Mag will triumph this as a fine pick ten years from now cuz' he wasn't released after his rookie contact. Meat will see this as vindication that he was right all along and the Bengals really do draft well despite all evidence to the contrary. Can't really disagree.
5. Another WR. Zac's lack of confidence in his own ability to draft well will force him to double up on a position of at best moderate need. He also fears not having enough weapons around Burrow so he takes another WR nobodies heard of who was probably racked up most of the time in college but has "potential." Most draftable WRs will likely be gone here.
6. Some special teams player not selected to play the same position for us he played in college. He will excel at special teams leading Mag and Meat ( or the M&Ms as I like to call them) to claim we really have a knack for picking diamonds in the rough despite never having started for us at the position he played in college.
7. A Tightend. Zac will tap some TE out of some loser school like Temple or Rutgers or Rice claiming he was a small school wonder. He'll sit on the bench pretty much his entire rookie career, not get resigned, and be selling life insurance in Poughkeepsie five years from now. Probably Thaddeus Moss
Guess which one's Meat....

I'm not sure really where Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB LSU is likely to fall but personally if we could trade back in the second get an extra 2nd or 3rd and he's there I'd pick him up. I think this guys very good and so does this dude in this video.

No thanks don't need a 2nd round RB have many other positions that pick would be more useful.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 9:04 amI'm not sure really where Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB LSU is likely to fall but personally if we could trade back in the second get an extra 2nd or 3rd and he's there I'd pick him up. Actually I was thinking more of a 3rd, or 4th rounder on him if he falls. Also was thinking of backup in case Mixon holds out, maybe this kids is our new star and we can just walk from Mixon.4256 Hits wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 10:07 amNo thanks don't need a 2nd round RB have many other positions that pick would be more useful.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 9:04 amI'm not sure really where Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB LSU is likely to fall but personally if we could trade back in the second get an extra 2nd or 3rd and he's there I'd pick him up. Meat: I think Clyde-Edwards goes 3rd. Maybe early 4th. But this draft is gonna be weird, just my thought.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 10:09 amActually I was thinking more of a 3rd, or 4th rounder on him if he falls. I was crazy back when being crazy really meant something.
Re: Round 2 thoughts?
I can get on board if we make a trade and end up with a late 3rd round or use the 4th round pick on him.MeatHeadbengal wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 10:09 amActually I was thinking more of a 3rd, or 4th rounder on him if he falls.
