Lucky for him is probably was twice the size of most of the other MS kids.
Wait....wut? :?
What do you think they planned to call him Penile or do you think they thought of the name after they got a good look at him after he was born?
"is probably was..."

More evidence this organization cannot be trusted with more draft picks....

Andre Perrotta (@andreperrotta13)
So the Bengals traded up for Ryan Finley in the 2019 Draft & kept Jake Dolegala on the 53 the entire 2019 season. Finley now benched for a journeyman QB & Dolegala is not on the roster.

In 2020, the Bengals have kept 2 kickers on the 53 for most of the season.

This is poor.

Mag, this is why you stick with the sure thing and don't out think it....

Lance McAlister (@LanceMcAlister)
#Bengals traded picks 110, 183 & 198 to pick Finely at 104.
After 3 disastrous starts last year and 1 face plant appearance this year he's now backup to guy from PS w/ 3 career starts and 46.4 completion %.
That's some high level scouting and drafting.

They thought John Ross was a sure thing too!

The facts are that this team has better success in round 2.

Ross was SoPs pick.

The whole round 2 thing is a statistical anomaly. I sure as hell wouldn't bet my draft on it.

At least that's what my Democratic friends say.... ;)

Spent the last few weeks studying OL for 2021 NFL Draft. Here’s my top 5 so far—
1) Rashawn Slater (Northwestern)
2) Penei Sewell (Oregon)
3) Alijah Vera-Tucker (USC)
4) Christian Darrisaw (Virginia Tech)
5) Teven Jenkins (Oklahoma St)

Daniel Jeremiah Twitter.

NW vs OSU

Apparently Slater blanked Chase Young, if not dominated him. Currently opt out due to covid.

“Pro Football Focus gave Sewell a 95.8 grade last year, the site’s highest ever for a tackle since it began college grades in 2015.”

Another point I think is important is that the Bengals generally do not "develop" players. Players come here with whatever talent they posess and pretty much stay at that level throughout their time here.

If your AJ Green or Mixon etc... that's fine. You can play for the Bengals and have a decent NFL career.

But if you're lacking a part of your game or something in your make-up needs correcting or adjusting chances are coming to the Bengals won't improve you.

So trading out of a near sure thing like Penile and picking up a few additional players that need more....refining, probably isn't the right move for us.

For the Patriots or Seahawks or Steelers etc....sure. But not with the coaches and upper management we have.

Are you high?
Most of this team's all time best players have come between rds 2 and 4. The two players likeliest to get in the Hall from the Lewis era are Whit (rd2) and Atkins (rd 4). Jesse Bates is rated the best S in the league by PFF and he's a second rounder. Higgins and Boyd are the two best players on offense not named Burrow and they're second rounders. Our best pass rusher is a 4th rounder.

How many first round pick OLs have been great for this team lately? Williams? Looks decent so far. Jury still out. Price? A backup. Ogbuehi? Is he even in the league? Zeitler? Good player, but currently on his 3rd team. Smith? Never lived up to expectations. Was mostly average.

Also, when was the last time this team had a 1st rounder with a healthy rookie season? When was the last time a 1st rounder got a second contract that wasn't a prove it deal?

Are you honestly trying to tell me you believe there's a curse on our first round picks...?

Did you use a Ouija board to consult the otherside or do you make draft picks based on fortune cookies...?

I know all about our recent first round picks and their injury histories but you don't stop taking talented players because the last few got hurt.

Ross and Oogie-Boogie had known health issues before we drafted them. Burrow got injured late in the season due to the worst offensive line in the league. An issue everyone already knew about but our coaching staff steadfastly refused to address until it was too late.

And now the best Offensive Lineman to come out of college in a decade or more is about to fall into our laps and you want to trade him away cuz' your tarot cards told you to....
