Honestly that would be a sad day in Bengal land, if this is true and a trade gets done.

I love Green, he's been an amazing player, I hope he retires here.

Doesn't look like there's any truth to it. Search it on Twitter. The only people talking about it as an actual rumor are fans of other teams. I can't find a single mention of it from a legitimate source. If you see something, by all means share a link because I'd want to know them.

It looks like the only mention I see from real sources are people floating the idea that a team should trade for AJ Green.

He is a 31 year old thin WR. As great as he has been I am just not sure how many more games he can play before the next injury. If can get 1st rounder and upgrade at LB from him I make the trade.

100% agree. You get an extra first rounder where we can draft his replacement and I'm totally on board. This has the look and feel of a rebuilding year with a new coach anyway. Trading AJ could make that rebuilding project much, much easier. Think about it this way, you are going to burn the next 2 years of his career getting a competent, playoff contending product on the field (we hope). He's done at that point and you've received nothing for him. Take the future 1st rounder, draft his replacement, get help at LB or elsewhere and accelerate the process!

No, take Devin White @ 11 and then use the first rounder that we (hypothetically) get for AJ and draft a WR to replace him. No reason why we can't find a competent target for Dalton in the first round. Then you can use the additional pick (assuming we get 2 for AJ) to draft at another position. Or heck, take a first rounder plus a player to be named in a trade.

because we would essentially be getting another great player, that is much younger, doofus!!

just like we did with Ross.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm. Ross is far from a great player. I wanted to cut him in camp last year.

Truthfully, the only reason to trade Green is if you're admitting that we don't expect Taylor's Bengals to make the playoffs until year 3. That's how it went with Marvin, but he took over a decimated roster with practically no talent. The Bengals have problems, but I don't think it's unrealistic that they contend for a playoff spot next year.
