2020 Season - Will they play?

The insensitivity of holding the draft while "possibly" a quarter of a million people are dying and the entire country is on lockdown will soon come to consideration. I really think everyone is focused on "how" do we do it instead of "should" we do it. They are going to delay the draft, cancel spring mini camps and move the draft to June. Its the only possible play they have right now where they can save face.

Just to put that quarter of a million in perspective. Every year nearly 3 million people die in the US and nearly 55 million in the world.

Yeah, it is that different. I want to get back to normalcy too. I'd hate to think of the NFL season not happening, with all the positive momentum the Bengals have in FA, drafting Burrow, hopefully lots of other good picks. I'd hate to think of college football not happening, with how good the Buckeyes are. But this isn't just hype and it's too early to know what the situation will be when it comes time for camp, preseason, or the season.

I think there's a decent chance that we're able to have our sports in the fall, and I hope things shake out that way, but I won't be surprised if it goes the other way. For that matter, I won't be all that upset, because if that's the way things go, then we've got bigger problems than football.

The only real difference is they don't know exactly what cures it. Once they have that figured out, which from all I've been reading is they think they have something that works, they can control it. We should be back to normal here before too long. I know my business is lucky and we are considered essential but we still have our show rooms closed to incoming customers, doing business by phone. I have to stay on top of this because we need to protect the employees and customer, as well as in case the state comes in and checks. Keeping up to date isn't easy with all the false reporting and rumor mills going around.
