The NFL is investigating why the Bengals did not list QB Joe Burrow on their injury report when the team posted a picture of him wearing a device on his wrist Wednesday night and he appeared to be hampered by the injury early in the Thursday night game that he later left, the league confirmed today.

The initial picture of Burrow wearing a device that looked like a soft cast on his thumb was posted by the Bengals, only to be deleted later.

The NFL routinely looks into matters of compliance with the Injury Report policy, and will do so in this instance as well. Teams can be fined or even potentially lose a draft pick

Some good news for the #Bengals: CB Cam Taylor-Britt, who left last night's game with a quad injury, is considered day-to-day, sources say. They have 10 days until their next game.

While all eyes are on the Joe Burrow injury, at the least Cincy didn't lose its standout CB.

I think I mentioned that his throws looked like they were floating, no zip, and even over thrown in a couple instances. If his grip was comprimised, that would explain a lot. But what happened and when is the million dollar question.

No matter, this still sucks about as bad as it possibly can.

Ian Rapoport says that after talking with his sources, he does not believe the wrap on Joe Burrow's hand had anything to do with the wrist injury he sustained.

I'll be honest he just really hasn't looked himself at all this season. Last night he was missing throws, still getting completions but not the normal pin point accuracy we're used to seeing with him.
