Re: NFL News & Notes

Not really thrilled with this. Thoughts....? Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero NFL owners approved the resolution putting the ball on the 25-yard line following a fair catch on a kickoff, I’m told. Special teams coordinators unanimously opposed the change, but it’s happening. I'm good with it. Similar ru...

Re: 2023 Schedule

That would be nice, but our division is pretty good… I’ll be happy if we win the division, and really that’s the expectation, but I definitely don’t expect us to go 6-0.

Re: Rounds 4-7 Draft Thread

I think it was a solid draft, and one that balances between this season and the long-term. Murphy in the first should be an immediate rotation guy who makes our pass rush better, helps keep other guys fresh, and gives more depth if guys get dinged up. That corner in the 2nd would presumably be much ...

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Thread.

I can think of 17M reasons why when you have to come up with 50M+ a year to pay burrow They can do both, and if you get rid of Trey were going to take a pretty good hit on our pass rush and I don't think for 1 minute they are interested in that. I think it's just going to be a question of whether t...

Re: 2023 Draft Prediction Thread

A test like that is just one piece of data. But above and beyond any test or 40 time or shuttle drill or measurement, it all comes back to film. Especially for guys that you’re seeing play against the best college teams week after week for a couple years. Stroud and Young both excelled on that stage...

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Thread.

One thing I think this team has been doing very well lately is drafting BPA but also considering how they fit into our schemes. Murphy is a great example of this, he fits the type of DL/Edge player we've been playing for the past few years. I look at a guy like Nolan Smith who is literally a freak ...

Re: 2023 NFL Draft Thread.

Here is Bengals pick. 28. Cincinnati Bengals: Myles Murphy, EDGE, Clemson — You can never have too many pass rushers, and now the Bengals have an athletic monster to play across from Trey Hendrickson for the long term. Murphy is an NFL-ready run defender who has the athleticism to be a strong No. 2...

Even if JSN falls, they simply cannot take him. If they did, that opens the door to trade Boyd. I just dont think they had that possibility on the board. Too many other needs.
Moot point now. But I would absolutely have wanted him if he fell to us.

Surprised JSN is still on the board. No way he's still available when we pick, right?
No way he gets past Baltimore
God, I hate everything about that. Maybe the Seahawks or Chargers will save us.

Re: NFL News & Notes

Lamar Jackson, 5 years $260M, they're saying highest-paid NFL player ever.

I don't know, that's a lot of money for the 2nd best QB in his division. Good luck paying anybody else.
